SPARK Magazine
SPARK Magazine is an editorial print publication and creative hub that’s been in Austin, TX for over a decade. Focused on pushing the boundaries of tradition and cultivating a strong community, SPARK is a collaborative and diverse network full of people who are passionate about converging art, culture, fashion, and design into an evocative anthology of both written and visual stories.
I’ve had the distinct honor of being apart of SPARK for over 3 years, first as a photography and layout designer and then as a department director and eventual Managing Director for the publication. Below is some of my work (outside of photography) that’s been published.
NO. 22: RAW
Issue No. 22: RAW’s print edition was divided into three distinct sections, coined ‘phases’ by our editorial directors. With a strong automotive theme for the issue, I designed chapter breaks that pulled inspiration from vintage racing motifs.

LAYOUT
Before I was Managing Director for SPARK, I spent 4 semesters in the layout department, working to put together photography and written assets into cohesive spreads that tell a compelling story. Below are some of my favorite stories I worked on, including spreads from issues 17, 19, and 20.
